In the second quarter of 2024, the Android carpooling and ridesharing app landscape demonstrated diverse user trends, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a snapshot of how the top apps fared in the US market.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a fluctuating download pattern, starting at 19.6K in early April and peaking at 25.9K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed an upward trajectory, increasing from 176K to over 209K during the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced modest download figures, with an initial 6.4K in April, dipping mid-quarter, and then surging to 8.6K by June's end. Active user counts slightly varied, starting at approximately 73.8K and rising to 74K over the same period.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download count, beginning at close to 4K and ending the quarter around 5K. The app's weekly active users showed more volatility, with an initial 89.5K, a mid-quarter dip, and a rebound to over 100K by June.

inDrive. Save on city rides had download numbers starting at 935 and witnessed a slight increase to 1K towards the quarter's conclusion. Weekly active users for inDrive showed a downward trend, dropping from 13.9K to 11K.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver downloads varied, with an initial 882 downloads and ending with 1K by the close of Q2. The weekly active users experienced minor fluctuations, starting at 5.7K and ending at 5.9K.
